This is a poem written by Robert Frost in 1923:
Nothing Gold Can Stay
Nature’s first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf’s a flower,
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief.
So dawn goes down today.
Nothing gold can stay.
This is my favourite poem by Robert Frost, since it shares a message that applies to life.
Life is “gold”, beautiful and valuable.
Eventually, since life moves in waves and cycles, the gold will fade.
Just like the fullest, prettiest flower dies in time.
Appreciate the little things in life, nature and everything/everyone around you while you can.
